Gutters don’t stay clean for long in Northern Utah. Between windy days, fall leaves, dirt, pine needles, and seasonal weather changes, your gutters can fill up fast. Gutter guards are a simple way to prevent clogs from starting in the first place. At Lion Flow Seamless Gutters, we install high-quality guards that keep debris out so water can flow the way it should, without constant cleanings, ladder climbing, or worrying every time a storm hits.

The Different Gutter Guards We Offer

1. The MasterShield Gutter Guard

MasterShield is the top-level gutter guard we offer, built for homeowners who want the highest level of protection. This system uses a custom stainless steel and copper micromesh that not only blocks debris like leaves, pine needles, and even shingle granules, but the copper also helps kill moss, algae, and other organics before they ever have a chance to overwhelm the filter. The guards’ HydroVortex technology pulls water straight through the mesh, which doesn’t allow the water to overshoot the gutter like many traditional guards. With MasterShield, you get a premium system backed by a lifetime warranty, and true long-term protection built for Utah weather.

2. The MicroMax Gutter Guard

MicroMax is our mid-range gutter guard option, which is perfect for homeowners who want strong protection without stepping all the way into the premium tier. This guard is built with a durable stainless steel micromesh that keeps out leaves, pine needles, seed pods, and most fine debris. It’s a major upgrade from basic screen guards and helps keep your gutters flowing clean without constant cleaning throughout the year. MicroMax gives you a solid balance of performance, affordability, and reliability, and is a great choice for homes that deal with moderate debris but still want dependable, long-lasting gutter protection.

3. The Bulldog Gutter Guard

The Bulldog Gutter Guard is our budget-friendly gutter guard option. It’s made from .019 aluminum with small openings that help block larger debris like leaves and twigs while still allowing water to flow into the gutter. This is a great choice for homeowners who want basic protection and less frequent cleanings without stepping into a premium price point. However, we don’t recommend Bulldog for homes with heavy pine tree coverage, as pine needles can occasionally find their way through the small holes. The Bulldog Gutter Guard is best suited for properties without a lot of pine trees, where blocking larger debris from entering the gutter system is the priority.

Why Should You Consider Gutter Guards?

You Don’t Have to Climb Ladders Anymore

Climbing a ladder to scoop gunk out of dirty gutters is nobody’s idea of a good weekend. It’s risky, it’s slippery, and statistically… ladders are responsible for hundreds of thousands of injuries every year in the U.S. Gutter guards help you stay off the ladder and be able to enjoy your weekends doing literally anything else.

Protects Your Home from Overflow Water Damage

Overflowing gutters can push water toward your foundation, ruin landscaping, damage siding, stucco, and brick, and cause rot around your roofline. Gutter guards keep the water flowing in the right direction, which is away from your home.

Makes Your Entire Gutter System Last Longer

A gutter system that stays cleaner… simply lasts longer. Gutter guards are one of the easiest and smartest ways to get more years out of the gutter system you already invested in.

Keeps Critters Out

Birds, wasps, and even mice love using gutters as nesting spots when debris builds up. Gutter guards make it much harder for anything to settle inside your gutters. No nests, no pests, no surprise discoveries when you look up and see things living where they shouldn’t be.

Helps Protect Your Landscaping

When gutters overflow, the water doesn’t just disappear; it dumps down onto the ground below. That can wash out mulch, destroy flower beds, kill plants, or ruin the design you paid for. Gutter guards help keep the water controlled and directed so your landscaping stays exactly the way you intended.

You Only Have to Buy Them Once

Gutter guards are a one-time upgrade that keeps paying off for years. Instead of paying for multiple cleanings every year, you invest once and cut down on how often your gutters need maintenance. They’re a long-term solution, not a recurring chore.

Etc…

What Could Happen If I Don’t Have Gutter Guards Installed?

Take a look at the image next to or under this paragraph. This is exactly what can happen when your home is surrounded by trees and you don’t have gutter guards. The entire gutter system becomes packed full of leaves, pine needles, pine cones, dirt, acorns, and anything else the wind blows around. When that happens, there isn’t a drop of water actually moving through the gutter the way it should. Instead, water backs up, spills over the edges, and starts creeping into places it shouldn’t go. That’s when roof damage, fascia rot, foundation issues, and constant overflow problems start happening. Gutter guards help prevent this mess from ever forming in the first place.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do gutter guards mean I never need a cleaning again?

They drastically reduce cleanings, but occasional quick inspections are still a smart thing to do.

Can gutter guards be added to my existing gutters?

Yes. We can install guards on your current system as long as the gutters are still in good condition.

Will gutter guards work if I already have trees close to my roof?

Absolutely. They’re designed to block leaves, pine needles, seeds, dirt, and other debris, especially in tree-heavy areas.

Are gutter guards really worth the cost?

Yes. Most homeowners end up saving money because they don’t need as many cleanings, and they avoid damage caused by clogged gutters.
